“As a lifelong martial arts practitioner (TKD, Shotokan), I gave it up when I went off to college (I experimented with and some Judo and even Kendo in college). Almost 20 years removed from any sort of martial arts training, I was worried about taking it up again — this time at a much older age, and with a much more physical art than others. Everyone here is great and willing to help the newer people learn. The gym itself is brand new (opened mid-2018), so the gym is very clean and well-kept. Rick is a great instructor with the lineage and credentials to help you start your jiu-jitsu journey. They also offer Muay Thai classes if you're interested in working on your striking -- and Wrestling, to help augment your jiu-jitsu. More traditional gym-type Health/fitness classes like MMA cardio are offered as well. They also have kids classes. Classes are offered in the morning and evening, so it'll be easy to find one that fits your schedule.”
