10th Planet Oakley

“My family and I LOVE 10th Planet Oakley! The coaches, parents, other students, they're all awesome and amazing people. Everyone is encouraging and helpful and truly want each other to succeed and get better. I first caught wind of 10P Oakley opening last year from a parent at another school where my son trains jiu jitsu, but in a gi. My son had shown interest in competing in jiu jitsu and already has a few wrestling tournaments under his belt. Since 10P Oakley is a no-gi school I thought that would be a good way to introduce him into jiu jitsu competition. We did a trial class in January and haven't looked back since. My whole family trains there now including my wife and nephew. If you want to learn no-gi jiu jitsu, cross train at another school, hit an open mat session or just meet awesome people, 10th Planet Oakley is the place to do it at!”

“My son loves it here! He has been going to this gym since the beginning when it opened. Tony is an awesome instructor! He teaches children with clear directions and he makes sure that every child is being heard with any questions or thoughts and ensures that the kiddos does their best in their ability with no pressure. He makes it more fun by doing an open activity like playing ball just to end the night on a good note for everyone and the kids love a fun end of the day exercise! And Tiffany at front desk is nice and willing to help you with any questions you may have regarding registration or even snacks and water. The most awesome part of it all is they don't wear Gi. Kids get to wear in their own athletic comfort so they can move easily with flexibility without feeling restricted in the traditional gi where the material has no flexibility, belt keeps falling off, etc. They have rash guards there for purchase. They keep the gym clean and tidy. They have a small play area for the younger tots if you plan to bring smaller children with you and its gated by the front desk so remove your shoes before entering the floor. There all great people and I'm glad to have met them and my son trusts and enjoys Tony around :)”

“I have been to quite a few different gyms, but nothing beats 10th Planet Oakley!! I have been training with them for a little over three months and couldn’t picture myself anywhere else. Coach Tony gives thorough walk throughs of every technique he goes over and doesn’t mind repeating the steps in case anyone missed anything. I also appreciate how patient Coach Tony and Coach Tiffany are with the kids class as I have recently signed my daughter up for class. I notice the difference as she is now more comfortable doing drills and asking questions.
