“I was in Fort Lauderdale for weekend getaway and didn’t want to miss my jiu jitsu classes back in Chicago, so I decided to look for an alternative. Many places in town are offering jiu jitsu, but not all of them are doing no gi. I was strictly looking for no gi and A and M looked as a good option for me. A lot of great reviews and relatively good location based on where I was staying. Called early in the morning and professor Drew was very informative and answer all my questions. They had classes every day so I joined. The price per class was $25. Which I thought it was fair. The classes started with warming up then the professor is showing different technics of what to work on todays class and then regular rolling till submission for 5 minutes rounds. Then switch partners till the class is over. The professors are very knowledgeable and focus on the details. Watching you closely of how you perform the task and navigate you if you missed a step or you didn’t do it right. I enjoyed the classes and the people there. The athmosfere was friendly. I felt safe rolling with the guys with more experience. They didn’t try to hurt me to prove a point. I am white belt so I was looking forward to learn from everyone and I did! Left Florida with more knowledge of jiu jitsu and different perspective of my game. Definitely recommending the club and the professors.”
