“I was looking for someplace to train while on vacation, even if my wife didn't agree. Needed a class before the kids get up. 5am class worked. I contacted them the day before via text to make sure I'd be able to attend. I received an immediate friendly response encouraging me to attend. I arrived and was greeted with a warm welcome, which is hard at 5am. I was surprised that they had 10 people that early in the morning. Everyone was welcoming to me and joking around with each other. I felt like I was invited by a friend to join his family get together. The move was taught and demonstrated so even my simple brain could understand. The professor gave individual attention to each group and helped tweak me to make sure I got it correct, even though he won't see me after this week. During drilling and sparring no one was being reckless, everyone wanted to practice but understood no one wanted to get hurt. Ultimately it was a great experience with good training. So much that I came back the next day and will continue for the rest of the week. If I lived in the area it would probably be my home gym.”
