“I love it here at AOJ. I’ve been here since the opening of Mission Viejo, and by far it’s the best jiu jitsu school I’ve trained at. They offer both gi and no gi (no gi has 10 classes to choose from during the week). No gi was a big deal for me, because of course most schools offer the gi only or roll no gi as if they’re rolling in the gi but without a gi on (im a no gi girl so finding a good school for no gi has made me so happy). Many no gi schools are vice versa with the gi training, so that didn’t help me when competing in the gi. Here they have a true no gi game that has expanded mine and of course a successful tried and true gi program. I love the community of people at AOJ MV as well. Leo, Yan, and Yago at the front are always so friendly. Professors Zach, Jessa, Tainan, Pato, Sayuri, and Fran and Coaches Steven and Luca are, of course, just amazingly phenomenal coaches. My 2 kids and I all train, and I’m so happy with our choice to make the jump over to AOJ. We also get to train at Costa Mesa. It’s a bit of a drive, but when getting ready for comps, it’s such a great benefit to be able to get more intense rounds from such high level people and get additional details from Professor Gui Mendes. The cleanliness of the studio is great. You don’t feel like you’re going to leave with ring worm or staph every time you walk through the door. Andre does a great job keeping the facility spotless. There are 3 showers in each bathroom (I think) which are kept clean and lockers with the combos where you can set your own code each time you come in so you don’t need to bring your own lock. Plenty of lockers that are big enough for your big jiu jitsu bags. Hands down the best training experience I’ve had.”

“The most incredible jiujitsu studio I've ever seen! Myself and both of my boys train here. Outside of an amazing staff of professors and coaches,(who all compete and win regularly) they have an entire day filled with classes for every age and every skill level from first day ever, to full professional practitioners. These classes are offered every day, multiple times a day, Monday- Saturday instead of a couple days a week like many other academies. Their kids program is unbelievable and produce high level, competition ready programs as well as just starting beginners. If you're even considering it, just come by and check out the environment and culture they created here. I can assure you will be beyond impressed!”

Second of all everyone from students to staff to coaches are all super friendly and sharp. And thirdly you will learn the best techniques unlike other places that just show you some random technique then move on to another one this place shows you the best techniques and they show you multiple layers and concepts of the technique so you can master them And fourthly this gym is for absolutely everyone not just world champions but all levels of skill within this art whether you are a beginner or intermediate or advanced this place has your back.
