“I had never done BJJ or other martial arts before. I went in expecting it to be normally awkward and foreign at first, but that never happened. Faye was my main instructor and Andre was secondary. They were both exceptional, but Faye was the entire reason why it felt the way it did. She was excellent at guiding me throughout different techniques and exercises. The environment inside was clean, filled with kids and adults alike, and it was clear to see that everyone wanted to be there, especially the kids. On my way out Bruno, the lead instructor, recognized I was new and paused to shake my hand and ask me if I enjoyed it. I think that was a very nice touch. I came out feeling refreshed. Professor Bruno has a great team of other professors and coaches that help him bring out the best of the BJJ athlete. The kids competition team is the best around the southeast region with kids traveling from hours away to train here.
