“While in pursuit of finding jui jitsu classes that would be a good fit for my 4 year old daughter we tried a few trial classes at other places and I was underwhelmed. UNTIL we had our trial classes at AVIV and wow did these women win us over within the first 20 minutes. Upon arrival my daughter was feeling anxious and crying A LOT, unwilling to participate in the class and Ana came to the rescue. She handled my daughter with such grace, compassion and patience and eventually got her to participate and stayed by her side the entire class. Both Luanne and Ana are such breaths of fresh air and are so wonderful with all of the children. The work they are doing at aviv is NOT transactional like everywhere else we’ve been, rather clearly a labor of love. My family from out of state tune in to watch each and every one of my daughters classes on zoom and each and every time they gush over how wonderful the professors are with the kids. In each class they include building skills, confidence, discipline and technique and almost always end the class with some type of inspirational message.
