“While in pursuit of finding jui jitsu classes that would be a good fit for my 4 year old daughter we tried a few trial classes at other places and I was underwhelmed. UNTIL we had our trial classes at AVIV and wow did these women win us over within the first 20 minutes. Upon arrival my daughter was feeling anxious and crying A LOT, unwilling to participate in the class and Ana came to the rescue. She handled my daughter with such grace, compassion and patience and eventually got her to participate and stayed by her side the entire class. Both Luanne and Ana are such breaths of fresh air and are so wonderful with all of the children. The work they are doing at aviv is NOT transactional like everywhere else we’ve been, rather clearly a labor of love. My family from out of state tune in to watch each and every one of my daughters classes on zoom and each and every time they gush over how wonderful the professors are with the kids. In each class they include building skills, confidence, discipline and technique and almost always end the class with some type of inspirational message. “My kids visit Boynton once or twice a year for a few weeks to see their Grandmother. They both are serious about their BJJ especially my son who trains 5x a week in the UK and loves to compete. I'd done a bit of research on the best gyms in the area and decided on AVIV for my kids as it was well situated, and had no less than 2 multiple world champions in gi and nogi and a HOF and that sold me. They went training around 2-3 times per week and the feedback was absolutely brilliant from both kids. My wife live streamed quite a few of the sessions as I was lazily back in the UK watching them and noticed the level is extremely high as expected. Nothing bad to say about the club here, it's surpassed our expectations and if the kids love it then that's good enough for me. Big shout out to Patricia who showed my son a really good judo throw which I hope he'll be using once he gets back to England. I'll certainly be training on the next visit to Boynton as I intend to come over on the next visit and train daily (if the wife allows me). Outstanding thank you all!! 2025 UPDATE!! I have eventually managed to get to train here at Aviv Boynton Beach and it has surpassed my expectations. Ana and Luanna are well known world champions AND.... they certainly are also champions of coaching too. I have never visited a school where both professors show such detail to every student and also the mindset behind everything regarding the 'why' behind each sequence and how they speak they certainly know how to relay information so that each student understands their instruction. The other main thing that stands out for me besides the great team they have here, the high level grapplers, the excellent vibe when training is on, they really care about the students and especially the kids as they are the future of BJJ. Both Ana and Luanna are lovely, humble human beings, no egos whatsoever and an absolute credit to the BJJ community and I am looking forward to the rest of my time training here and will be here every time we return for holidays!!
