From the moment I called, I could tell it was going to be a great place to train. Professor Bruce took my call and was incredibly kind and professional. When I arrived, the young lady at the front desk was very helpful in getting me signed in and oriented. Everyone I met on the mats was friendly, laid-back, and serious about training. The class structure was top-notch: clear, concise instruction followed by purposeful drilling. They’re intentional in everything they do—Professor Bruce even pairs you with a partner (usually an upper belt) to ensure safety and precision during drills. We followed with positional drills to reinforce what we learned, then rolled. Every training partner I had genuinely cared about my safety, which I deeply appreciated. Cleanliness? Outstanding. The gym was spotless, and the way they cleaned the mats looked like it came straight out of a military manual. If I ever move to Naperville, this will be my academy. Can’t wait to come back.
