βI have recently started going to Backyard BJJ and Kickboxing for the past week and I absolutely love this place! Walking into the class as someone who doesnβt know anything about kickboxing or grappling was very anxious and nervous about the new environment but I easily adapted to the kind, welcoming, and supportive group that I was truly not expecting! Coach Sam was super helpful and made sure that I was comfortable and knew somewhat what I was doing throughout the class. The entire team in there was very helpful as well with everyone welcoming me and introducing themselves and teaching me along the way, it just made me want for the next class to be the next day! I really enjoy the atmosphere and beyond happy to be able to come back and be welcomed as part of their team!β
βBackyard kickboxing& jiu jitsu-BKJJ has been great! As someone new to the sport, I really appreciate how the class is structured. Coach sam does a nice job teaching in the first half, breaking down techniques. The second half of the class is dedicated to rolling/sparring, which has been a great way to practice and learn with others. The people here are super cool and welcoming. If you're thinking about starting any combat training this is definitely the place to go!β
βThe gym is kept very clean, and the mats and pads are cleaned after use. Sam is a great instructor and motivator. He doesn't expect you to be the greatest out the gate. He just wants you to be the best you can be. If he sets up a workout, he'll be doing the workout with us. Overall, it is a great place to get into shape, compete in fights, and make a couple of friends. It's definitely worth coming to check the place out.β
βGood place to train, good people to train with!β
