I have spent years wandering through life, mind restless, like two ‘monkeys’ fighting in a cage, purpose unclear. Chaos followed, relationships crumbled, jobs felt meaningless, and my thoughts tangled like vines, suffocating any sense of direction.
One evening, traveling through Bakersfield, Ca. I got fortunate enough to gather the address to this dojo! Ironically, I got ‘lost’ in the, Hide N Seek, parking lot.
I hesitated before stepping in.
The professor, known simply as Sensei Matt, gave me a piece to the puzzle I’ve been missing for years.
Chaos is only a lack of understanding. The art isn’t about controlling others, it’s about controlling yourself.
Jiu-Jitsu wasn’t just movement, it was meaning. And for the first time in my life, I wasn’t fighting the chaos. I was flowing with it.
