“I love training while on vacation, even though it can be hit or miss. Body & Soul BJJ is a destination in itself, and it’s a total home run! As I walked deeper down the driveway, my skeptical thoughts quickly gave way to excitement when I saw the river and then pure joy when I stepped inside the dedicated gym building and met Matt & Tiffany. I clicked with them immediately, which isn’t common for me, and the students they attract have a similar energy. The entire place is so peaceful. With your heels to the mat, you might be 50 feet from the water, separated only by a lovely beach and fire pit area. Everything I could see throughout the property was beautifully maintained, which only heightened the welcoming energy that fills this place. As Matt has identified with his gym’s name, Jiu Jitsu has both a body and a soul component to it, and the soul side can be difficult to get dialed in. Fortunately for us, Matt’s an expert in this area. I stayed for an hour or so after training just chatting with folks in the sun, and by the time I left I was relaxed, encouraged, and inspired. I cannot wait to come to one of their seminars, because it’s obvious you’ll get both great BJJ training and as well as the opportunity work on your inner self and build mental strength that gives you a boost both on and off the mats. If you’re looking for a place to train, skip the name brand gym in town and arrange to come here instead!”
