Explore Jiu Jitsu Techniques“Our sons train at Caridian and I can confidently say it’s one of the best decisions we have made for them. We are seeing tremendous personal growth both on and off the mat. From the moment we stepped through the door, the atmosphere was welcoming and friendly, making it easy to feel at home, whether you’re a complete beginner or a seasoned practitioner. The instructors at Caridian are top-notch. Alan has a wealth of experience and knowledge, and it’s evident in how he breaks down techniques in a way that’s both understandable and practical. I appreciate how he emphasizes not just the moves but also the underlying principles behind them, making it easier to grasp the intricacies of BJJ. The classes are well-structured, with a mix of drilling, live sparring, and positional training, so there's always something to work on no matter your skill level. The gym is spacious and clean, with mats that provide a safe and comfortable training environment. They also maintain a good balance of keeping things serious while still fostering a love for the sport. One standout feature is the community. Everyone is supportive and respectful, and there's a real sense of camaraderie that makes training here enjoyable. Whether you're rolling with a white belt or a black belt, there’s a genuine willingness to help each other improve. Overall, Caridian Brazilian Jiu Jitsu offers an excellent training experience for anyone looking to improve their Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. The high-level instruction, supportive community, and top-notch facilities make it a standout choice for anyone serious about BJJ. Highly recommend!”
“Earlier this year we enrolled my son(8) at Caridian. Shortly thereafter, after watching how much he loved it, my daughter(6) asked us if she could join too. Both of them have been training and competing for a few months now and I have nothing but great things to say about our experience at Caridian. It’s a big family. We can tell that Alan cares about our kids like they’re his own. The other coaches are just as caring and everyone involved puts forth a great effort to ensure they are safe and progress in their training. The practices are easily observed, as a parent it means a lot to me that I can be right in the room with them watching what they are doing daily and to support them. The practices are balanced nicely between drilling and grappling. There’s no chance that your kid gets lost in the room, there is consistently a great coach-to-student ratio with experienced coaches helping each pair throughout the drills. Everyone gets personal attention at every practice. If your kids compete in Jiu Jitsu or are interested in competing, this is the room you want to bring them to. Alan plans out competitions to take the competition team to regularly. The coaches show up prepared to warm them up and coach them through the competitions. The support they provide in that aspect is unmatched. The mats are cleaned and sanitized extremely often and there is an emphasis on personal hygiene at a meticulous level. One of the most important aspects of your gym choice should be “is it clean?” Caridian is clean and I feel safe having my kids train there. I recently joined the adults class as well and it’s been extremely positive. Everyone’s attitudes from coaches to other students is top notch. A community of adults there to have a good time and help each other get better. It’s also the best workout you’ll ever get. If you’re thinking about starting Jiu Jitsu or having your kids start Jiu Jitsu, do it. And do it at Caridian. You’ll be happy you did.”
“We just finished the first trial week. My son is 8 years old. He unfortunately has a mother fighting cancer and a father whom recently had a large brain tumor removed. We knew we were looking for not only the perfect place, but to be sure he has the skills to protect himself for his lifetime. We found Cardian BJJ to be exactly what we were looking for. Very warm and welcoming. Multiple coaches, allowing kids to be able to pair up and have direct attention and guidance. We look forward to my son making new friends and really feeling like a part of something great!”
“As a military member stationed in Tampa, I have the privilege of training at Caridian BJJ alongside my three children. From day one, the experience has been nothing short of outstanding. Professor Alan Ribeiro is not only a skilled Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu practitioner but also an exceptional instructor. His knowledge and passion for the art shine through in every class. He tailors his teaching to all skill levels, ensuring that both beginners and advanced students feel challenged and motivated.”
“Alan is an insanely kind and patient instructor who welcomed me with open arms in to his gym with zero jiu jitsu experience. He breaks down jiu jitsu technique in an easy to understand way, no matter what kind of learner you are, you will get it if I can. Everyone in the gym is insanely helpful and kind. Truly a home away from home, great family atmosphere. My whole family attends classes at Caridian and we look forward to every class. Jiu jitsu is an amazing workout and very practical self defense that I know I could put to use if I ever needed to.”
