“Went for a drop in while in town for work - was warmly welcomed with “hey friend, make yourself at home” from the coach. Proceeded to get into the lesson and then got some great rolls in. “I had the opportunity to drop in for a class at Charlotte JJ Academy while visiting from out of town, and it was a fantastic experience. The instructors were welcoming, knowledgeable, and ran a structured, high-level class. The students were technical and respectful, making for great training partners. I’d highly recommend this academy to anyone in the area or passing through—an excellent place to train!! Will definitely be returning when I’m back in the area. Ty soo much !”

“Awesome academy. Had to opportunity to attend a morning class and an open mat while visiting Charlotte. Both were very welcoming and the class had excellent instruction. Would absolutely train here full time if I lived in the area.”

“I've been training at this jiu-jitsu gym for a few months now, and they've somehow managed to create an environment that's simultaneously world-class, friendly, and ridiculously addictive. The instructors are knowledgeable, patient, and occasionally sadistic. The training is top-notch, with a focus on technique and self-improvement that's perfect for everyone from beginners to seasoned competitors. But what really sets this gym apart is the community. Everyone is welcoming, supportive, and always willing to lend a hand (or a shoulder to cry on, depending on how your training session is going). The atmosphere is electric, the training is exceptional, and the people are amazing. If you're looking for a place to learn, sweat, and maybe even cry a little, look no further.”
