“Amazing gym. The team here is super knowledgeable, caring, and beyond welcoming. As a female, I was very weary about where to join up, but I was encouraged to come and observe a class with no pressure to join or do much of anything but take it all in. I very quickly realized that there’s a reason why everyone loves it here: the community, the team and the overall vibes are great. If you’re considering dropping in, you won’t be sorry!”
“Great group to train with. Very welcoming and chill. Has some good rolls. Technique was top notch. Highly recommend.”
“Great coaches great environment and super clean. Clobber and the other instructors take great care to make sure new students learn perfect technique. As a new student I can personally say that the coaching and instruction here has helped me grow significantly in just a few months of practice. I’m a jits beginner, but there are also typically advanced students in every class if you’re into simulating murder with a friend. One of the best places in the area to learn the gentle art of folding clothes with the person still inside”
“Fantastic. First, coach Clobber and Devin are some of the best teachers I’ve come across. They’re patient, kind, technical, mentally flexible, and always feel like they came to class happy to be able to share their teachings. Most importantly, they have a great sense of humor, which resonates through the gym. The place isn’t cliquey or culty. There are a variety of skill levels and body types in the room and no one is in there trying to hurt anyone else. The vibe is fun and playful, and everyone is willing to meet you where you are, and share what they know. If you’re new, you’ll be taken care of all the way through. Expect the first half of class to learn and practice a “technique of the day” under the guidance of the instructor with a partner, and the second half optional “rolling” or controlled sparring. Serious jiu jitsu with a sense of humor.”
