“I've trained at numerous Brazilian Jiujitsu schools in several different states, and this one takes the cake! The instructors are friendly and extremely qualified, and there are plenty of students of varied sizes and skill levels, which brings a depth and breadth to this type of training. The informal atmosphere allows for a focus on the training itself, instead of wasting time doing calisthenics and bowing repeatedly. I wholeheartedly encourage anyone with a passing interest to come in and take advantage of the free trial week they offer!”

Come train with us”

“I have known & trained with the head Instructor Chris Nakato & crew for almost 8 years now. The students here at Columbia Jiu-jitsu are extremely fortunate to have a highly skilled, patient & brilliant Instructor as Sensei Nakato to guide them through their Jiu-jitsu journey. I would not pass up the opertunity to join & train here. Ronin”

“Excellent instruction, safe environment, fun and collaborative vibe to classes-love every minute of it. Whether you’re new to the sport or want to really improve your BJJ and MMA game, Chris has you covered and his crew will make sure you have a blast doing it. My whole family trains together (me, hubby, kids 11 & 12) and I can’t say enough nice things about Chris and the environment there. Everyone checks their egos at the door and we just get to learn, a joy every class.”

“Supportive and welcoming training environment - highly recommended. While grappling is new to me, I have a martial arts background which has seen me through several different studios and training environments over the years. Columbia River Jiu Jitsu is one of the best. The classes are collaborative, supportive and ego free. Everyone is free to work at their own pace and level, and Chris has so much knowledge to share. Whether you are new to the sport and want to feel safe, or are an experienced practitioner looking to up your jiu jitsu and MMA game, Columbia River Jiu Jitsu has you covered”
