“There is a welcoming atmosphere at the Consecution. Students are friendly, supportive, and helpful with both newcomers and more seasoned practitioners. Folks train for so many reasons, but ego is not prevalent as motivator here, especially with the regulars--; the regulars train to help each other grow and boost confidence, not to boost arrogance or self-image. Coach Jake is highly skilled, knowledgeable, reasonable, and approachable. It's easy to see that Jiujitsu and teaching are passions of his, and his methods are progressive and evolve readily within the contexts of learning, teaching, sport/competition, self-defense, and maintaining respect and discipline as standard elements of training. Aggression, bullying, and otherwise dangerous behaviors are not permitted and are managed promptly and effectively. The environment is clean and sanitary, and hygiene is strongly enforced as required praxis for all students. Children are welcome and encouraged to train, as well. The kids' class is growing and instills confidence, coordination, flexibility, adaptability, cooperation, healthy competition, respect, awareness, and self-discipline, at the very least. Coach Jake and his assistants/team make classes fun and active while maintaining a safe and controlled atmosphere for everyone. Coach Jake implements cutting edge methods for effective information sharing which can serve students who have alternative learning styles. Consecution also offers stand-up/striking training, and elements of Greco-Roman/Catch Wrestling and Judo, et al, in the curriculum. For more info, definitely contact Coach Jake and ask questions. He's eager to help, and his students follow suit.”
