“When we were in the facility, the instructors were great, my 5 year old enjoyed them, learned some life skills, and had fun. However, martial arts isn't the right fit for him so we decided to cancel our membership. They require a 60 days notice of cancellation. (I have no problem paying this as that is what I agreed to when we signed up) I notified we were canceling via the app on 12/9 and asked to let me know what was needed to cancel. I was asked why we were canceling which I did not respond to. On 1/15, I got a phone call stating that I need to come in and sign a cancellation paper before my 60 days can start. When I asked if my 60 days can be back dated to my original notification of 12/9, I was told no and that they tried to contact me but I didn't answer and they we're unable to leave a voicemail. I understand that I should have followed up but I can guarantee you, had one of my payments not gone through, I would have had multiple emails and phone calls letting me know my payment wasn't made. Now instead of having to pay $400 for classes we aren't attending, I will now be out $700+. The owner has always been very kind and I can tell he cares about all the kids at the facility; he did personally call to discuss why we're leaving and what he could do either make us stay or how to improve for future kids. He also told me that if we decided to return, the $400 would be credited to our future account. I do appreciate the gesture but this makes no difference to me because we will not be returning. So just beware, if you get to the point of wanting to cancel, make sure you do it person. I am extremely disappointed in how our cancellation was handled. Edit to add because of owner response: There was no voicemail left, no message on the app, nor an email sent after the initial message asking why we were canceling. From our phone call yesterday, you said there was only one other phone call which was the one you said they couldn’t leave a voicemail. The customer service was inadequate in this situation and more of an effort could have been made in the 5 weeks from the original message. 1 phone call in 5 weeks.”

“My daughter is 3 and has been coming here for a month now and LOVES it. They encourage respect and responsibility even in the home and that’s been very helpful. My daughter gets so excited to see her new friends, instructors and do well in class. Amazing watching her grow here.”
