“As a new person at the gym I've felt very welcomed. The black belts learn everyone's name and know hundreds of students. They personally try to help you i prove every class. You can tell they are passionate and want people to improve. It feels very personable when the instructors try to learn your starting skill level and name.”

“⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ My boys (ages 7 and 9) started training at Daniel Gracie's Grand Rapids/Holland locations in December 2024, and they absolutely LOVE it! The coaches are amazing—skilled, encouraging, and great with the kids. The environment is incredibly supportive and welcoming. We couldn't be happier with their progress and newfound enthusiasm for Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. It's wonderful to see them grow and develop their skills in such a positive setting. Thank you, Daniel Gracie BJJ Team - for creating such a fantastic place for our kids to train! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐”

“I dropped in for a gi class while visiting Grand Rapids, and this gym exceeded my expectations! The mats were packed with students of all levels, from beginners to advanced practitioners. Miguel and Kevin taught a fantastic class, and the training partners were both tough and technical. Everyone was incredibly friendly and welcoming, making me feel right at home. So many people went out of their way to introduce themselves and chat that I lost track of names—a testament to the gym’s amazing culture. If I lived here, this would definitely be my go-to gym. Thank you for the hospitality—I’ll be sure to visit again next time I’m in town!”

“I have been training at Daniel Gracie (Grand Rapids) for a year and a half. I am a bit in the older side (50 yrs), but I was welcomed with open arms my very first class. Everyone is rad and chill. All the coaches are top notch and give personal tips and instruction on a regular basis. They take the extra time to help my personal progress. The brand new gym is huge and has everything a person could possibly want/need. The culture is definitely a bit more on the aggressive and end, but this IS a combat sport/martial art. The owner is tough, but he pushes me to be better. He doesn’t tell me what I want to hear, but speaks what needs to be said. He is honest with me regarding where I am and where I need to go in my training. If you are willing to learn, grow, and be stretched…this is the place for you! I love my team. Hey, the first class is free. Come check us out!”
