“This place has changed my life. Sensei Jay is exceptionally humble, and an excellent teacher. Every student I have trained with has had a positive attitude and been willing to help me and the others in the class learn. This place is not your normal school. There are no egos, not attitudes and everyone here is working together to learn, grow and excel in the practice of Jiu Jitsu. I came here with my son several months ago looking for a place where he and I could train together. We started and he loved it. Fast forward to now and my entire family is training including my wife and four daughters. We are at every class we can make it to. “Such a great place to train and learn Brazilian jiu jitsu! Sensei Jay is very knowledgeable and skilled and does a great job including perspectives of if your opponent is taller, shorter, etc., then what are some options and variations to consider which I appreciate a lot as a woman who is generally always shorter than my training partners. They also incorporate a good mix of takedowns in training which I haven't found at previous BJJ schools and adds a lot of different tools to use. All of the students are welcoming and the upper belts are very helpful and let me work to improve technique and flow during drilling and rolls. It's a really great community that works hard and has a fun a time doing it! Very family friendly as well”

“I was visiting Fredericksburg for two weeks and was looking at places to train. When I stopped by the gym Sensei Jay said I could train for free for the two weeks that I was here! He was so welcoming and taught me as much as he could in the two weeks that I was there.
