“Hobbyist focused gym with a great community and very technical instruction. I trained twice as a drop-in student with Professor David and Coach Ross. Vibe: Super welcoming and friendly. Mostly hobbyist families. Everyone is respectful. Not super strict or traditional. Instruction: Prof David has a deep understanding of everything jiujitsu and conveys it in an easy digestible way. He also keeps up to date with the competitive meta. Very patient and student centered. Coach Ross was very helpful especially with the younger practitioners - firm and friendly without being overly strict. Hygiene: Professor David ensures the mats are sanitized and clean. I’ve witnessed him attend to this personally on both my visits. Rolls: This is a newer school (less than a year old) so there are a lot of white belts but they roll very safely. The colored belts are very tough and technical but they didn’t try to rough me up during my visit. Professor David is like a magician - blink and he’ll have you in a bad position. Drop-in: Super easy - just visit their website to sign the digital waiver and pay the $20 drop-in fee. I recommend showing up already dressed for class around 5-10 mins prior to class as they lock the doors for the safety of the kids class that happens right before the adults class.”
