“I'm visiting from out of state and Diamondback Jiu-Jitsu is one of the few schools in the area that allows (as I found out) drop-in classes to travelers. Three other schools in the area that I contacted declined. I really respect when school owners are welcoming to practitioners outside of their school and don't get caught up in 'jiu-jitsu' politics of affiliations or worry of an outsider coming in. I especially appreciated the fact that Matt let me come into the class because I mixed up the start time of 8:00 a.m. to 8:15 a.m. That was 100% my fault. Matt and all his students were extremely nice and totally respectful. He allowed me to train for a very reasonable fee. Thank you for having me!”

“Starting my Brazilian jiujitsu journey with Professor Matt at Diamond Back has been one of the most relevant decisions in my life, this school is more than that, is a community where you will grow with the rest of your class. Im glad to be part of the DB Jiujitsu family. If you are planning to start or improve your Brazilian jiujitsu or Muay Thai this is the right school.”

“I've been training at Diamondback BJJ for a month now, and I couldn’t be happier with the environment. Nestled right in the heart of old Frisco, it feels like the perfect spot for both learning and community. Professor Matt stands out as a truly positive, attentive, and supportive teacher who genuinely cares about each student’s progress. It's clear that he’s invested in seeing everyone succeed and grow in their Jiu-Jitsu journey. I’m grateful to be learning from someone who creates such a motivating and inclusive space. 10/10 -- would recommend.”

“I recently dropped in to Diamondback while traveling to see family. I had a great experience at this school. While there I watched the tail end of a Saturday kid's class, which looked like a ton of fun and very engaging for the kids. For the Adult's class, the warm up was pretty standard and definitely got my heart rate up. During class Professor Matt demonstrated two techniques for the day, gave plenty of details and personalized coaching as he walked around to help everyone. After the technique portion the class moved into a situational "shark tank" mode where three people were in the middle and had to work starting in specific techniques. It was a lot of fun and gave me opportunity to work with different members. I would definitely recommend the school for anyone in Frisco or anyone looking to drop in. The space is clean and well taken care of, there's a good mix of age and colored belts on the mats. I've trained since 2016 and have been to many schools across the country. This one has a great culture and I will look forward to a time when I can come back again.”

“My husband and three children (boy and two girls) train at Diamondback Jiujitsu under the instruction of Professor Matt Jones. As a mother and wife of those who train, I cannot speak highly enough of Matt's instruction, patience and professionalism. He is incredible working with any age group, from little ones to seasoned adults. It is truly his calling and gift. Aside from outstanding teaching, the community and people who are a part of this school are second to none. We do not have family in the area but our Diamondback family makes us feel like we do.”
