“Updated review! My kids competed in an in house tournament with another jiujitsu school and it was amazing. The event was very organized, professors from both schools were so fun and encouraging, and the atmosphere was full of fun and positivity. We’re looking forward to more in house tournaments! DVG is hands down such an amazing school! The professors and their assistants are all welcoming, knowledgeable, and patient. I have to give major appreciation to professor Garrett and his helpers for the way they work with the 4-6 year olds! Teaching that age is not an easy job, but they do a great job and my 4 year old has developed a big passion for jiujitsu! Professor Brandon and his helpers in the 7-10 year old class are just as amazing too! My 10 year old has gained so much confidence and strength in the short time he’s been apart of DVG, and he only has such great things on the way he’s taught. My husband participates in the no gi and fundamentals class and really enjoys the surrounding and support he gets from the professors as well as the other students. The environment is so positive and family friendly! We’re blessed to be apart of the DVG Ohana!”

“I have been wanting to learn Jiu-Jitsu for some time now. A friend recommended DVG. When I reached out to the staff through IG. I received a call just a few minutes later from Michelle. She was friendly and welcoming. I immediately made an appointment for a meet and greet. On the day of my meet and greet, Michelle met me with a smile. She immediately showed me around and started introducing me to everyone there. A few shared their stories of their Jiu-Jitsu journey at DVG. It felt right, and I just knew this was the right place for me. I signed up that day and jumped in on my first class. I'm now fully committed to DVG and have enrolled for the next year. Professor Brandon, Professor Vinney, and Professor Garrett are down to earth good men. They take the time to get to know their students. When teaching, the Professors use real-life scenarios to aid in understanding the lessons and techniques they are teaching. That helps me to learn and retain information. And there is always opportunities to ask questions when I need clarification. The people 😁......to explain it simply. It feels like a community that operates like a large family. EVERYONE from the children, teenagers, and adults. Everyone is wonderful. There's always laughter and smiles. Even on the mat. Classes are fun and full of information. My initial goal was to learn self-defense and improve my physical fitness. I have found here at DVG it is so much more. It has shown me it is about respect, discipline, and commitment. I look forward to my continuous learning and self-improvement here at DVG. If anyone is looking to study and learn the art of Jiu-Jitsu; stop by here and see for yourself. This is my happy place. I am sure you'll enjoy it here too! Mele Kalikimaka 2024 Zoe”

“I want to start by saying it’s difficult to find a place that creates the family oriented kind of atmosphere that DVG has created. My husband & I absolutely loved training here. Professor Brandon, Professor Garrett & the coaches prioritize the safety of their students and are able to work with us honing on our strengths & weaknesses to make us better. There is a great sense of camaraderie in the classes where you are surrounded by teammates who want to see eachother succeed. It motivated us everyday and encouraged us to want to continue to attend classes. Whether you or your kids are brand new to BJJ or you’re a seasoned veteran we recommend you check out this academy and see for yourself the dedication & commitment the team has for their students, as do the students have for each other. Being part of DVG has left us feeling like we have a second family!”

“I visited many academies and DVG is absolutely top of the line. The welcoming culture, the clean facility, the teaching ability of the instructors-all outstanding. Literally nothing bad to say—if you are even thinking of training Jiu Jitsu you will love this place!”

“I am a 10th Planet BJJ student and recently visited DVG Jiu-Jitsu and got to train with Coach Brandon Gross. The experience was amazing—Brandon made me feel like part of the family from the moment I walked in. His passion for teaching and dedication to fostering a positive and welcoming environment truly stand out. As someone who’s trained in different schools, I appreciated his commitment to both technique and community. If you’re looking for a gym with skilled coaches who care about your growth, DVG Jiu-Jitsu is the place to go. Highly recommend! 10 out of 10”
