“This is among the best gyms around. I’m a blue belt and have been rolling for 4 years consistently. Just moved to the area. Here’s what I really enjoyed about this gym so far: - Led by a great professor, trained by some of the best BJJ practitioners in the world. Humble, fun/good teaching style, high rate of learning here - Good culture; all of the students have been respectful and enjoyable to meet/roll with. It also has been very welcoming. - Clean and well kept environment - Transparent pricing. I really appreciate that the pricing is listed on the website. Some of the other gyms in the area don’t post their prices online which is a yellow flag to me. - Autonomy - some of the other gyms in the area also don’t encourage their students to roll at other schools or to compete. This also was a yellow flag to me with some of the other gyms. It’s so important to test progress and learn from others outside one’s main gym.”

Unlike other gyms in town all instruction, even for beginners, is done by an experienced black belt and new students can begin rolling immediately. There are no big egos to worry about and everyone you roll with is willing to offer you genuine advice on how to get better. The gym is also significantly cheaper than others in Athens, you're not paying extra for branding and marketing, and it doesn't require long-term contracts.”
