Fischer does a great job teaching for all levels of experience from anxious white belts to jedi calm brown and black belts lol Emil has an enthusiasm for the sport and is actively terrorizing competitors across the country (he is the first martial arts instructor I’ve had that actively competes) plus his teacher is Pablo Castro so good pedigree! The class in terms of people and number of classes are actively growing. Additionally, it is a good group of folks training and most are helpful and willing to share knowledge. Hoping for a kids class within the next two years!”

“Very detailed and applicable instruction!!! This place is for your hobbyist or your competitor. The hobbyists can learn self defense, get a work out, enjoy it, all while being in a safe enviornment. Those with competition goals have top tier instruction from a 3 time Pan American Champion and Multiple F2W Champion. These classes and instruction have been critical to my 6 IBJJF Chicago International Open Championships with many other victories and medals in other various BJJ organizations. “Emil does a very good job at allowing students the ability to experiment and develop their own game, while still focusing on fundamental aspects of BJJ. If you want to have the freedom to explore and develop as a BJJ player, while still being fundamentally strong (good guard retention, good escapes, etc), I strongly recommend Emil as an instructor. In addition to this, his training is without any politics or BS, he cares about your BJJ and making you a better player, his gym does not have any discriminatory practices nor does he play favorites. He gives everybody the same respect as people, and encourages you to develop into a stronger player. Needless to say, his competition acumen is second to none in the area and he has a lot of experience. He approaches BJJ from a no-gi, gi, and self-defense perspective, and since he has experience training in strong style, he even has an MMA perspective. He is one of the best all around people you can train with. He is also super funny and entertaining. The gym is also very spacious, has equipment for working out, and seating area for spectators. Overall 10/10, go footlock him.”
