Randy runs a solid program for all ages. Kids, teens, and adults all get real training, not just going through the motions. He knows his stuff, and yeah, he’s a black belt. My son Mason has been training here for a while in both Jiu-Jitsu and wrestling, and they actually take the time to help every kid improve. The atmosphere is great, and even watching the classes is worth it. Easily the best spot around for wrestling and Jiu-Jitsu. They also offer daycare for Midlothian residents and even pick up kids from school. Great business, great people, highly recommend.

Excellent gym. Train with beginners and pros alike. It’s a serious gym people are there to learn. Both instructors and senior students are helpful but no one is out of control or on an ego trip. I’m hooked, I’ll be there for the foreseeable future. Come out and join us!

Love this gym. The coaches are amazing and it has a family feel. Only been training for a short time but have felt supported in every since of the word. Great atmosphere with a wide range of belts. Upper belts and more than willing to teach and hep you if asked. They will meet you where your at. The owner is a great guy and takes care of his students. They have an amazing kids program. Come check it out!

I just decided to pick up BJJ about 4 months ago and I was searching all around Dallas for gyms and going for visits. There were a few that I got good vibes from but I ultimately settled on this one because the people seemed like good people and the trainers were legit and actually Brazilian. I know there's plenty of legit professors who aren't Brazilian like John Danaher and many others so I'm not disqualifying people off that, I'm just saying you appreciate that level of authenticity. So after nearly 4 months of coming to this gym pretty consistently (3 to 4 times per week) I can honestly say this is a great gym and I'm glad I pulled the trigger on them. For 1 everyone in the gym has been genuine. I can tell when people are faking and I haven't met anyone yet who didn't seem sincere in their willingness to help me get better and just their general camaraderie. The professors (Pedro and Rodrigo) are thorough and at least 1 is/was ranked nationally in his division. Also, with this membership you can train for FREE in north Dallas at their affiliate gym where Rafael "Formiga" Barbosa is the trainer. All I have to say is Google him and that should tell you all you need to know (countless accolades). The owner Randy Clayton is a good guy and he's very understanding and willing to work with you. He allowed me to take SEVERAL classes for free until I ultimately decided and didn't rush me at all which let's me know he wasn't chasing my money and was genuine, which again I appreciated. They do competitions in this gym as well which was another positive for me as I want to eventually start competing in tournaments. Neither the owner nor coaches asked me to write this review but I thought I would share this in case you are reading this and in the same position I was 4 months ago struggling to decide on what BJJ gym you wanna go to splitting hairs based off limited information. If I could do it again I would've joined this gym sooner. All I can say is try the gym for a week or so and I know your experience will be as pleasant as mine. God bless!

I really enjoy training here. I always get good rolls. It is a friendly culture with excellent coaching. The head instructor is Rafael “Formiga” Barbosa, one of the Soul Fighter founders. If you have kids, there is an excellent kids class and after school program
