“Fat Cat Bjj has been a phenomenal place to train in the martial arts. Sensei Vetro and the instructors are very experienced and take the time teach you the intricacies of the arts. In addition, they’re practical, and let students know what it’s takes to improve. It’s a great family environment where adults, children, and people of all walks of life are welcome to train. “I am currently a white belt and joined Fat Cat about 3 months ago. I work full time and go to school online. I also workout but I wanted to do some sort of functional strength activity. A great buddy of mine at work who is a blue belt told me to join. The first day was awesome, and is Free. We learned take downs and I met my sensei Anthony Vetro. You will meet people here who will push you, build you up and then push you further. My confidence has increased. I’ve lost 37 lbs since I joined and I get stronger every time I roll. Join and you won’t regret it.”

“I wanted to try Jiu jitsu, I was also nervous to. When you are curious about starting you read a lot online and you’ll find no shortage of people stressing how important it is to find the “right gym.” I walked into Fat Cat and asked if it was a good day to try BJJ for the first time. The enthusiastic response I received was “today is the BEST day to try Jiu Jitsu.” I’ve been training here for four months now along with my four year old son and this enthusiasm has not waned in either direction. If you are looking for a positive, respectful, and energetic environment to learn a martial art then this is the “right gym” you’ve been looking for.”
