“Oscar is a great coach, with his many years of competitive experience it is awesome to have all the little details corrected. Having techniques that work even at high levels is a great, but he’s an awesome guy and super easy to work with. His teaching style is great because he keeps each session interesting with different drills and intensity. Would and will be doing more privates in the future”

“Oscar is the truth, no ego, no games, just down right jiu jitsu instruction from a world class champion competitor. He offered me a custom tailored plan, worked with my busy work schedule, gave me printed out meal plans, warm up exercise plans and outlined techniques to research and watch videos on before our next class. He demonstrated the techniques, we talked through the techniques, the body mechanics, leveraging body weight, grips, breathing techiques and then drilling them. We did comp rounds and he got me ready for JJWL. He sets goals for you and will help you achieve your fullest potential.”

“I always wanted to learn jiujitsu but with my schedule it was always hard to make it to a class. With Oscar he really worked with my schedule and gave me the opportunity to finally try jiujitsu and provided me with a personalized learning experience which is a huge plus. I have already taken several lessons with Oscar and every single time there is something new and rewarding to learn. Oscar goes in depth with everything he is teaching and will always review any part of the lesson until you feel you got it. Oscar is an amazing patient teacher, very professional, very responsive to messages and overall a great guy! I’m still continuing my lessons with him and don’t see myself stopping anytime soon. 10/10”

“Jiu jitsu is a difficult sport to learn as an adult. Factoring in injuries, mobility, and body awareness, it takes a dedicated and committed coach to condense complicated concepts into digestible information. Oscar does just that. With a tactful approach, complicated technique is simplified to accommodate any practitioner. In an hour I learned how to flow into a takedown, groundwork, and alternative competition options that were tailored to my strengths. The environment was professional and educational, allowing me the confidence to perform at my best. I cannot recommend coach Oscar enough, his competition assistance is unmatched.”

“I been around Jiu Jitsu since '95 and have been a dedicated high school teacher for 25 years. After that many BJJ instructors and that long teaching alongside my colleges, I can say Oscar is a good at both BJJ and teaching. I won't speak to his BJJ skills, you can find that easily enough online (awards and championships). However, his teaching is great: outstanding temperament, lots of feedback and encouraging advice and he will let you craft your lessons around what you want to work on and ask as many questions as you want in a private setting. Easily one of the best BJJ instructors I've had, and it's been a lot.”
