Absolutely love training here. Shawn promotes a great atmosphere. He ensures we are training safely and adapts his training and classes to all levels of experience. Im an older athlete but I feel safe at Fort Kent BJJ with Shawn.

I never realized how much built up stress I had before joining this gym. I’ve tried so many other types of work outs and this is the first one I’ve genuinely enjoyed. The skills I’ve learned in the short time I’ve been involved have made me feel more confident going into this crazy world. I also lost 20 lbs without even really pay attention, so that was a plus. My children practice several days a week and love it too. It’s a GREAT way to shake off the winter time jitters for kids in the winter. I love that they’ve started a women’s only schedule, it’s so important that women learn to defend themselves. Coach Shawn is an excellent teacher, and this small town is lucky he made his way here.
