When I began I had absolutely no experience, was a bit scared, out of shape and knew nothing. Jiu-Jitsu is very demanding and it will make you want to eat better so that you always feel good and strong, work out more or harder so you have strength for when you train, sleep better so that you can get up to accomplish your goals, and it will give you a level of confidence for self defense that you never had before because you will gain experience really applying the art to people much bigger or smaller than you. Professor Gabetta is a true master of his craft that has dedicated his life every single day to his art and the betterment of this community. Our gym continues to grow and grow and it is truly a special place to be. Genesis is also a very safe place for both women and children. The women that train at Genesis are all badasses and Jiu-Jitsu is also probably the best martial arts for a child and there is a large daily children's class full of kids that are learning to defend themselves in an incredibly effective way while also learning the discipline and respect that comes from training a martial art.
