Absolutely love this gym. No better gym to call home. Facility is spacious and clean. Instructors are super knowledgeable and are able to really convey that knowledge to the students. Jiu jitsu and the family that comes with that truly changes your life. Their motto "Build better humans before great champions" is taken to heart. There is not a better school for children (or adults) on the coast.

While I do not attend this school, my husband does, and his experience has been nothing but excellent. Not only does this school provide a safe and secure location for children to practice a martial art, the instructors teach their students. For instance, the children do learn exercise and techniques; however, they are also instructed in such a manner as to build confidence and self-control. Concerning the adult classes, the instructors work diligently to maintain a level of excellence that is inspirational. Simply put, this school is a school; it is not just a place that will take your money and avoid teaching you anything valuable. Anyone who attends classes here are warmly welcomed and find, very quickly, how much they will learn for the money that they are spending. Finally, the lead instructor, Jeremy Bond, is dedicated to building lesson plans and offering extra opportunities for students. Besides Jiu-Jitsu, Jeremy and his staff also offer women's self-defense classes, turbo kick classes, and MMA training classes as well as opportunities for both competition in MMA and Jiu-Jitsu. Moreover, this school hosts "open mat" days, which is, basically, free, extra instruction. Without a doubt, I would recommend any parent or adult to come out and join the American Martial Art Academy in Wiggins, MS!
