“My husband and I have nothing but positive things to say about Gracie Barra in Ashburn! We enrolled our son, who is almost four, a few months ago and it's been a great experience. Professor Dana is incredible - she warned us that kids can sometimes struggle with the discipline / structure / new environment when they start. Our son seemed comfortable and visibly enjoyed his first few classes. Then he hit a wall. He didn't want to go. Nothing had happened. We skipped two classes because he threw monumental tantrums. I was convinced we wouldn't be going back. But I was so confused be cause he seemed to enjoy it while he was there so I called to discuss it with Professor Dana. She assured me resistance can come up for lots of reasons and to push through. We did - and he got over it quickly!!! Without Professor Dana's guidance we would have bailed altogether and what a terrible lesson to teach our son. I'm so glad we stuck with it! A quick word about Professor Dana, Professor Gavin, Coach Patrick and all the other coaches...wow! I already shared how Professor Dana turned things around for our son but it's so wonderful to be a part of a community at Gracie Barra where there is a team of adults working to build our son's confidence and strength while having fun! I genuinely love every class and watching our son learn new things physically and mentally/emotionally.”

“I took a lot of time researching local gyms before I decided to go with Gracie Barra Ashburn. The professors are excellent, and the gym offers a lot of different class times so you can train morning noon or night! I appreciate the cleanliness, friendliness, and professionalism. Professor Dana goes above and beyond to make everyone feel welcome and included. She has also developed an extraordinary women’s program. This is my home away from home.”

“GBA is a great place to have your kids train and also for adults too. Both my son and I love training there. Professor Dana teaches a lot of cool techniques that helped my child win his first jiu-jitsu competition a few weeks ago. Not to mention they won first place in best kids GI school. If you’re looking for a tight knit community for both parents and kids GBA and GBL are the place to be, you will find new friends and training partners.”

“My son was invited to an event his friend was having from Gracie Barra for the anti-bully event and to my surprise he absolutely LOVED it! He is usually the type of kid that doesn't like attention and is normally very timid but when he went to this event, he asked to join and was really excited about it. He has been going for a couple months now and loves it. He has other activities but this one is his favorite. I'm glad I made the choice and I can see he has definitely become more confident.”

“My children and I attend this location, and it has truly become a second home for us. It all began with me taking classes and loving the experience, and soon after, my children wanted to join, and they absolutely love it as well. The professors make you feel like you've been there for years, even on your very first day. The other parents and kids follow suit, and everyone treats each other with respect and kindness. The techniques taught are exactly what I was looking for, and the instruction is at a pace that is easy to understand. I will forever be a part of the Gracie Barra family.”
