Explore Jiu Jitsu Techniques“I visited this gym from out of state. They were not only highly skilled, but they could not have been more welcoming to an outsider. That is the high caliber of gym you can always expect from a Gracie Barra. If you are visiting Boston or looking for a home gym. Look no further than this place. They are legit and sweethearts to boot.”
“I had a great experience as a drop in student while passing through town! they were extremely welcoming, both the instructors and students and professor Harout’s was a fantastic instructor. I’ll be back OSS 🤙🏽”
“We booked a trial GI class today and had a great experience. The staff were all super friendly and had loaner GIs ready for us. The class was a bit advanced since it’s mid-semester, but the coach explained the moves clearly and gave beginners some extra guidance. Really welcoming and supportive vibe overall. I also heard there’s an all-women’s class on Friday afternoons — looking forward to checking that out sometime!”
“This is not a place to bring you son, daughter, child or kid, if you're thinking about a martial arts class that would boost their self esteem and make them feel good about themselves. The so called "kids and teens" program, consists of a large class of kids of ALL ages. They say that they "teach children discipline, respect, focus, and self-confidence—skills they’ll carry for life". Well, when I came with my kid to an introduction class, none of that was taught. Instead, they paired my child with someone larger, and let them "try and take down" each other, without any other instruction or supervision. That my kid got taken down over and over by this stronger and more experienced kid, seemed not to bother any of the instructors at all. I should have pulled my kid sooner, and I'm ashamed that I did not. This place gets a lot of good reviews, so probably a lot of people are happy here. But I think that only applies if you are a grown up, or a kid already with good physical tendencies. If you think this will be a place where your child will feel safe, looked after, and well instructed, look for someplace else. Grace barre is for the tough, and if your not, well tough luck.”
“I really enjoyed my experience at GB Boston. I was traveling for work and dropped in for the advanced nogi class. Everyone was so welcoming, the facility was clean and plenty spacious, and Professor Luis’ instruction and class structure was on point. I highly recommend this school for anyone looking for a professional, quality jiu jitsu experience. Thanks to Luis and the crew for the hospitality!”
