“My daughter, 7, has been practicing jiu jitsu at Gracie Barra Franklin for almost 4 years and my son, 4, just started. I’ve been so impressed with the patience and instruction the Professors and Coaches give to all levels of the kids classes. They take the time to really demonstrate each technique so every child can understand, and beyond that, they really build a sense of teamwork and responsibility for the kids as they gain stripes and get to help with the newer members. My daughter’s self confidence has grown immensely and my son is listening better and his attention has increased. They also have kids’ night outs periodically which is a fun way for the kids and coaches to get to know each other better and gives parents some free time of their own. The parents and kids class on Saturdays has become a favorite of my kids and allows me to practice with them on the mats. I highly recommend jiu jitsu as an extracurricular for any kid, and specifically Gracie Barra Franklin.”
