My son has been training at Gracie Barra Kuna for almost two years, and it's been amazing to see the positive impact it's had. The instructors are fantastic with kids – they're patient, encouraging, and make learning Jiu-Jitsu fun and engaging. Not only has my son gained self-confidence and learned valuable self-defense skills, but his focus and discipline have improved as well. The atmosphere is supportive and safe, it's clear that the coaches prioritize both skill development and character building. I highly recommend Gracie Barra Kuna. Professor Beto and Professor Fabi have created a community that is so welcoming and supportive, Gracie Barra Kuna now feels like a second family.

Professor Beto and Fabi are great Jiu Jitsu instructors with decades of experience from teaching to competing in tournaments such as PAN. They care about the individual's safety and improvement while training whether it is the kids class or the adults class. The entire team at the gym are friendly and work together to build you up and improve your Jiu Jitsu. If you are like me and needing to find a place to work off some steam, burn energy, and get focused in a competitive and friendly way, this gym is for you, you won't be disappointed!

Really nice people. However, coaches are new to the sport. I want my kids to do the sport to learn discipline and respect. A great studio and owners. I’m sure in a few years the coaches will become more self assured. Environment is too relaxed, making hard for smaller kids to focus properly. Thank you for lessons! We will be taking classes again in the next year or two.

This is the best martial arts studio in the state. My family drives from Boise to Kuna to train with the best. Highly recommend if you're looking to train they offer BJJ and Kickboxing classes trained by champions!

I am so glad I waited until I had more knowledge and awareness of this sport before deciding to write a review. I enrolled my now 6 year old son (5 years old at the time of enrollment) at this gym about a year ago now, and I struggled for probably a month or 2 (for context this is only a 2 day a week, 45 minute class for the younger children) with whether or not I had made the right decision. There were collisions and tears (this is after all a contact sport)on top of children (mine being one of them at times) who just refused to listen to directions causing distractions and injuries. I am very glad I had the support and guidance from the coaches (who are outnumbered and surrounded at times by as many as 20+ children with maybe 2-3 coaching assistants) as well as the experienced parents who helped me realize that these were a bunch of 4-6 year olds, and at this level the focus is on learning to control their own body and actions and listen to and follow the instructions and demonstrations that are being given. It is hard for a single 4-6 year old to grasp these concepts let alone when there are 20 or so of them feeding off each others energy and (not always good) examples. I am very proud of, not only my son, but several other children who have been able to join over the past year and I look forward to watching those who have the mindset to persevere and stay through the hard days as they continue to grow and develop their skills and confidence. I encourage anyone with children 4+ to come and join our team and please don’t base your judgement off of your first weeks experience, this is a life long skill set that takes time and dedication.
