“I put my children in there hoping for a good experience. The "professor" was very unprofessional and rude right from the start. He shows favoritism and barely acknowledged my children in class, even after attending for months. His assistants did more for them than he bothered to. He was also very petty and unprofessional over something very minor. I would never bring my children there again. My hats off to his assistants for putting up with him.”

“It's just the Gracie name you are paying for, just because someone is a blackbelt or knows jiu jitsu does not mean that translates to knowing how to be a good teacher and teach. Sometimes if a kid is not picking up a lesson it's a reflection of the teacher, not everyone learns the same or at the same pace and that is on the teacher to recognize this and approach teaching students accordingly. The youth classes are way to over crowded for some kids to get attention when needed or they aren't picking up things as quickly as others. Some of the the helping instructors are to busy socializing to see when students need correction on things. Also just know even though there is no contract and you decide stop membership the "Professor Hector" will still charge your credit/debit card for the next month even if you are not there. He feels you need to give him 30 day notice when you are no longer gonna attend classes. Avoid this place and take your student or yourself some where else.”

“My boy is going to turn 5 this month and my daughter is 9. They love coming here, the schedule and availability of classes is perfect. Professor Hector was recommended by several people for his knowledge and ability to work with kids of all ages. I'm very happy with the curriculum, the discipline and how my kids have progressed. Professor Hector does an outstanding job and also has several assistants helping him, so every kid gets the help and attention they need. It is clean, organized and fosters a good learning environment without bullying or horse playing. I checked out other places in the area but Gracie Barra Lake Elsinore is much better.”

“We have been going to the GB lake Elsinore for a year now. And when I compare the very first day my son tried the class and now I see a huge difference in my 8 year old son. He grew physically, emotionally and mentally. Professor Hector is an amazing teacher and truly have made a difference in my son's life. He's dedicated and highly skilled. He believes in the kids and pour into them. The skills he taught my son go far beyond knowing how to protect himself as he focuses on the kids attention, following directions, value hard work, persistence, attention to details and confidence..... Professor Hector is innovative and always finds ways to bring new blood to his school so the kids can see other professors and learn new techniques. Professor Hector believed in my son and encouraged him to sign up for his first GB Competition and he won his very first GOLD medal!!!! This school operates as a big family. From day one they welcome you and support you as one of their own. Kim the professor's assistant and the assistant coaches play a major role in supporting all the families and attending to their needs. They do a great job planning activities for the kids to bond outside the class. In the year I have been with them professor and his coaches along with Kim planned a Christmas and Easter party, they also planned a summer program for the kids, woman's class, parent /kid class and a family bowling night which truly makes you feel like you are a part of their family. My son have made great friends who not only interact on the mat but also outside the class. We are truly blessed to have found this place and have my son be trained by professor Hector and his team.”
