“Gracie Barra has changed my life. My son before starting jiujitsu, he was shy and did not know how to defend himself even though he had a black belt in Tae Kwon Do. Since training at Gracie Barra he has learned confidence, respect and accountability amount other valuable skills. Before jiujitsu I was always worried about my son, I could t never go to a brewery or any place and relax I was always worried watching him with other kids. Now I let him play and if a kid is a bully he will learn his first jiujitsu lesson for free. Professor Charles and the coaches are absolutely amazing they teach the kids to work together and get along. They teach really valuable skills to the kids and are super patient. I have seen kids come In super scared and within weeks they have made such transformation because of the dedication of the staff. The kids also build relationship with other students and so do the parents, we are a tight family. I enjoyed seeing my son so much that I even joined and started to train. I train with Professor Dana on Tuesdays and Thursdays and she believes more in me than I ever have and it has made me progress in my jiujitsu. I totally recommend any ladies who are thinking about joining to join because it’s such life skill to have but also you build relationships with other moms and ladies, the program she runs for ladies is absolutely amazing. Once a month she plans a fun activity for her ladies. Professor Charles plans super cute events for the kids such as a movie night which is nice because parents can go enjoy themselves while the kids are having fun. Don’t waste your time in signing your kid for Tae Kwon do they won’t be able to defend themselves. Sign them up for jiujitsu with amazing professors who will make your child shine guaranteed. I am very particular when it comes to teaching my son but honestly Gracie Barra has exceeded my expectations. They work so hard to keep their school engaged and motivated with new events, I am very glad we joined.”

“Amazing place for kids and adults to learn JJ. Our kids have been coming to Gracie Barra for just over a year now and it is the only sport they have stuck to for longer than 6 months or year round. This location seems nice and they have many features still being built. Can't wait to see the final product! The coaches are very friendly and professional. They understand customer service and most importantly that they are our kids second parents, is how it feels to us. They are reinforcing to be kind and respectful, while also teaching them the art of self-defense.”

“This review is a long time coming, but Gracie Barra Leesburg is truly amazing! Our 9 year old daughter loves to try different sports (gymnastics, soccer, dance, swim...), and this is the only one she has expressed future commitment to. She loves going to class, asked to do the summer camp, and sets goals for herself. Gracie Barra Leesburg has encouraged her to focus her mind, control her emotions, and have fun working out. The staff is friendly (Prof. Charles is the best!) and very understanding of how children are. I look forward to our daughter doing many years of jiu-jitsu and highly reccomend this location :)”
