Having a female instructor is also amazing, so she can see herself mirrored in this sport! It’s obvious the owners take tremendous pride in their space and have put a lot of care into making it a positive environment. My nephews are actually learning valuable skills in class instead of just playing games and running around. Sure, there are days I have to drag them through the door, but the moment they hit the mats, they’re all smiles and full of enthusiasm. Another thing I absolutely love about Gracie Barra Newton is the family atmosphere. The instructors are a married couple, and their kids are always nearby—training, playing, or just hanging out in the kid area (the lobby has a kid-sized table with crayons, toys, etc.). All in all, this is a fantastic martial arts academy in Newton that I highly recommend. Whether you’re looking for a place for your kids or yourself, you won’t be disappointed.
