“As an Orlando Sanchez brown belt now training at Gracie Barra in Northridge, California, I must admit, this school is so very awesome! Very nice, welcoming but tough people training here! They got all levels from beginners to advance here! The Nogi classes are great too, I was lucky to do both the same day! Everyone introduced themselves to me and they were very polite and asked me where I was visiting from and welcomed me with open arms here. Everyone is welcomed to train here! If you wanna break a sweat, or looking for a challenge, this place has something for everyone. They got kids classes too”

“I'm truly lucky to have started by BJJ journey here at Gracie Barra Salt Lake City. The staff are friendly, the professors/coaches are kind but challenge me, the facility is clean, and the community is warm and welcoming. Even after nearly two years training here, coming in to train is still the highlight of my day.”

“Joining the Gracie Barra Family has been one of the best decisions I have ever made!! I attend the Salt Lake, West Jordan, and soon to be Riverton location, and my experience has just been incredible. I have trained at a few other schools, but not a single one has made me reconsider my choice in schools. From the moment you walk into the gym, you are welcomed with open arms by both staff and athletes alike. Gracie Barra Salt Lake City and the people there have quickly become like a second family to me, which is hard to come by in this day and age. Race, nationality, gender, age, sexual orientation, none of that will matter when you walk through the doors; the only thing that truly matters to these people are how much work you are willing to put in, if you are willing to persevere through the challenges. I started at Gracie Barra as a newbie to Jiujitsu, and this environment has made me not only addicted to the sport, but excited for my years of practice and challenges that will come with it. Whether you’re looking to switch gyms, have been wanting to try jiujitsu for a while, or are even just looking for a fun way to get in some exercise, I HIGHLY recommended you give this gym a try :)”

“My first experience at Gracie Barra was great! I won't lie; I was very nervous about trying ju-jitsu. I have never participated in any martial arts and am not used to getting physically close to strangers. But my experience with Gracie Barra was very pleasant. All 3 coaches were very kind, energetic, and extremely talented in their craft. They placed me with another teammate, who made me feel very welcome. Everyone was extremely patient with me, and I knew I wanted to go back and train with them. It was a great experience, and I highly recommend this facility to anyone interested in learning ju-jitsu, self-defense, or a new hobby. Thank you, Gracie Barra!”

“We absolutely LOVE Gracie Barra Salt Lake City! Our daughter is new to BJJ. Get ready to join a wonderful community and everything it has to offer! Each week, she’s learning and gaining new skills. The instructors are amazing (Carlos, Rodrigo & Andrea)! They each provide clear direction and instruction when giving the lesson. They make it fun but with structure. The environment is so positive and inviting. For starters, if you work with Amanda at the front desk, she’s kind and explains everything thoroughly. The kids are so kind and taught to show kindness, which we love! You won’t regret joining this club. It is worth it!”
