If you have a competitive child looking to develop, improve and fine-tune their game; Iron sharpens iron at GB Upland. My daughters have greatly benefited from the team support. The front office is easy to reach out to whenever life/school etc., happens and extracurricular priorities change. They've accommodated my child's occasional breaks a couple times with complete understanding. Shoutout to Pedro for making the membership/contractual process painless & concise. “This is such a great BJJ school and program for both adults and children. My son has been coming here for the Summer Training program. They have so many instructors that it almost feels like private lessons. All of the instructors are extremely patient with the kids. They encourage a team environment, talk about leadership, and talk to the kids about keeping with things when they’re tough. All great skills not just for BJJ but for life. They do also offer women’s only class with all women instructors. It’s a large facility with plenty of seating, 2 different large mats, and it’s always clean!”

“Be cautious before signing up for this jujutsu class, especially if you’re unsure about your child’s commitment. The gym has a very strict policy: they require a 60-day notice to cancel the membership, and you must notify them 30 days in advance to freeze your account. This lack of flexibility can catch you off guard, as I experienced when they charged me unexpectedly, only to refer me to their policy. Communication with them has been difficult. They are stubborn and inflexible, even if your child has a special situation or condition. They won’t make any exceptions, offer one-time courtesy adjustments, or show any understanding. The only time they are nice and flexible is when they’re trying to get you to sign up for the membership—promising flexibility in terms, pricing, and dates. Once you’re in, that courtesy quickly disappears. Many other locations offer much more reasonable and flexible options for freezing or canceling memberships. I recommend exploring those before committing here, especially if you’re not 100% certain about continuing long-term.”
