“In a sea of cardio gyms and inauthentic Muay Thai, Gracie Charlottesville has a stellar striking program with a personable and experienced coach, Daniel. There are several competitors who train at the gym, which is indicative of a higher skill ceiling and standard. Sparring is technical and safe. Friendly staff and fellow gym goers.”

“The quality of the trainers and the emphasis they put on technique is amazing. Plus, I was a beginner in bjj and students + trainers were so patient and understanding. Everything is perfectly clean and they even have loaner gear which they wash after every use. I highly recommend Gracie Charlottesville.”

“This is an incredible place to train. The size of the 6 am class is a huge testament to the culture the coaches have built. I was just in town short-term for the summer, and wish I tried this morning class sooner! I immediately felt safe and welcome from the first class I joined. I appreciate so many things about how these classes run - the practices of stretching and warming up properly, incorporating self defense, shouting out our names every class, structuring the class so that we are constantly switching partners and getting to work with lots of different people, having time to drill and build muscle memory, the coaches teaching moves in a way that is accessible and still challenging, and the structure of the schedule having an open mat after every class to stay and practice things or roll. Thank you Coach Alex and Coach Serhiy 🙏 If anyone from this gym is ever out in Colorado Springs and needs somewhere to train, you are welcome at mine!”

“Trained at Gracie Charlottesville for a grappling seminar, as well as Muay Thai for a few classes. Although my time was brief, the time I had was amazing. The drop in fee was relatively cheap. The coaches and trainers are all world class, the environment is very welcoming with a nice variety of people to train with. The facility itself is very nice, and clean. With showers and a sauna, with additional changing rooms. Overall, training here was a brief but amazing experience and I’d highly recommend it to anyone in the area”

“I’ve been training at Gracie for a few months now training in Muay Thai with coach Daniel. My good friend Brad is a black belt at the gym so I initially heard about the gym through him, I later checked out their instagram and saw they offered Muay Thai classes as well. The classes are a really intense workout and so much fun, there has not been a day yet where I didn’t leave dripping in sweat with a smile on my face! If you’re looking for a great gym with a great staff and want to learn a new sport, this is the place to be!”
