Joining martial arts as a smaller female can be very intimidating, especially if you don’t consider yourself to be “athletic” or coordinated, but I have never once felt uncomfortable during class and the instructors always work with you at whatever level you’re at. Jiu jitsu was never something I could’ve imagined myself doing because it was so far outside of my comfort zone, and now it’s the highlight of my week! If you’re on the fence and thinking about it…just try it! You won’t regret it!”
