Explore Jiu Jitsu Techniques“My two boys, 12 and 10, have been attending almost a year in the "Bully Proof" program. It's helped them in so many ways. Their instructor Jesse does a great job keeping the kids engaged with the training. The facility itself is always clean and neat as well. Highly recommend Jesse if you're interested in learning Gracie Jiu-jitsu. ***update*** both kids are both still going and are getting so much out of the program. And the fact that they both look forward to going now is awesome.”
“This has been so good for our kids. They’ve gained confidence and skill, and I appreciate that they are learning self-defense moves rather than kicking or punching. Great group of teachers. Highly recommend.”
“I've been training at Gracie Jiu-Jitsu Minot since it opened. My youngest also signed up and he's been enjoying the Bullyproof & Black Belt class. Even with construction still on going, Jesse does a great job keeping the areas & mats really clean. The overall atmosphere is pretty friendly even when the other students are constantly trying to choke me out. I definitely would recommend this gym for anyone looking for a place to train Jiu-Jitsu at. I'm not a paid spokesperson but maybe I should be...”
“I was hesitant to start up because I don’t particularly enjoy grappling and I’m competitive. The instructor and classmates brought me on board smoothly and the flexibility of class offerings makes the practicing work for my busy family. The instructor’s ability to compete hard and encourage others to do the same while still connecting even with the youngest kids is really remarkable. He sets a good example for my young man. It’s early in the material for me, but the Gracie method is broken down very well into a logical and practical progression so I feel like I understand the path to proficiency.”
“My 6 year old son loves Jiu Jitsu and he really loves the classes. The other day, when he got home from class, he set the table, vacuumed the floor in the entry way, and picked up the playroom all without being asked or told. This is because they are learning about caring in the character development part of the lesson and he wanted to care for his family by helping with meal time. As a student myself, I enjoy practicing the games with him and watching him grow in self confidence. I encourage any parent to consider equipping their kids with solid character values as well as the skills they need to avoid the fight at all costs and defend themselves if they need to!”
