“I've been practicing the martial arts since 1985, and I've been training at Linxx Academy since 1998. My two youngest children also train at Linxx, and my oldest son used to train there prior to moving from the area. Our experience at Linxx has been extremely positive. The Linxx youth program is outstanding. The instructors put emphasis on positive reinforcement when working with the kids, and the classes are structured to maintain the students' interest and attentiveness for the duration of each class. I’ve seen vast improvements in confidence, character, and technical ability in so many of the children that have dedicated their time to the program, including my own kids. The Linxx adult program is also excellent. Linxx has produced many exceptional competitive fighters over the years, with some having competed professionally, including within the UFC. However, the focus of the classes is on the technical improvement, physical fitness, and self-defense for the average person. The arts taught have been proven to be tremendously effective in real life, self-defense situations, and the techniques that comprise these arts are designed to work for the average person, regardless of their athletic ability. The same positive reinforcement teaching methods used in the youth program are employed in the adult classes, making the classes fun and unintimidating. Mr. Cucci and his staff are well trained in both their technical abilities and their abilities as instructors. They are incredibly skilled martial artists, but they are also very friendly and approachable. They are models of both technical ability and of character.”

“Our son, who has Asperger's, ADHD and Intermittent Explosive Disorder, wanted to try martial arts and we thought that the combination of physical fitness and personal delvelopment taught in Muay Thai would be perfect for him. Linxx came very highly recommended by a friend whose bipolar son was excelling in ju-jitsu there. We bought a Groupon for $35 which gave us a uniform, 1 private lesson and a month of unlimited classes. At first, our son thought it was 'too hard' (it IS a demanding program) but once he saw improvement and success, he started to like it more and more. He started in August of 2011 and is now a blue belt in MT and was just inducted into their Black Belt Club. I cannot say enough about Frank Cucci and his incredible staff! They have done everythig in their power to help our son achieve his goals without compromising the program's standards (they allow accomodations for "impaired" students). He can now do sit ups and push ups, which he couldn't do 5 months ago, and his self-esteem has improved astronomically! His success is very telling of the instructors at Linxx - they know how to get into a child's head and motivate him/her without sounding like a drill instructor. We feel truly blessed to have found such a talented group of young men and women; our son's life is so much better all around because of Linxx!”
