“From the very first day that we stepped into the dojo, we knew that we had come to the right place. Professor Maicon & Coach Amanda made us feel like part of the family as soon as we met them. When our 9 year old son began training with Maicon it became immediately clear that he is obviously a very gifted instructor with a vast and impressive portfolio of knowledge and achievements. Many people in the BJJ community can attest to his expertise and prowess. However, he is especially amazing with kids because he understands how to connect with them on their level. He doesn’t just train his students physically though, but philosophically as well. He makes them work hard but explains the importance of things like mental fortitude on and off the mat.
