Explore Jiu Jitsu Techniques“I’ve been training at Impact Jiu Jitsu McMinnville for a little over a year now, and it’s been an incredible experience. John Goforth and his team have built something truly special here—a culture of respect, growth, and community that makes you want to keep coming back. The facility itself is top-notch. The beautiful mat space, full weight set, sauna, cold plunge, showers, and changing rooms make it more than just a place to train—it’s a place to grow physically and mentally. Whether you’re a beginner or experienced, the coaches and training partners are welcoming, supportive, and dedicated to helping each other improve. Jiu Jitsu has taught me a lot about life, discipline, and resilience, and the people here make the journey even better. If you’re looking for a place to train, challenge yourself, and be part of a great community, this is it! Highly recommend to anyone interested in Jiu Jitsu, fitness, or just surrounding themselves with super great people.”
“What a wonderful experience we've been having here at Impact Jiu Jitsu. The coaches are great and are making tumbling so much fun, we've even made some new friends and that makes coming to tumbling lots of fun too. Thank you”
“Great people, lots of very experienced people there. I love the sauna and could plunge. Everyone has been very friendly and welcoming! Get down there and get that summer body back!”
“The coaches are great. Patient and good at redirecting them to focus. Sometimes, there are just more kids paired up than coaches. So if they are novice, they kinda wait around. Which is fine. Everyone needs coaching. I don't mind the pricing. I think it's fair if you're attending every class. It's around $10 a class. I put my son in here to help with self-discipline, focus, and self-defense. He has been here about a month and a half, and I've seen confidence outside of the mat. The coaches are getting more comfortable knowing where he needs to be refocused. The cons are that there's not enough seating for full classes. M/W Siblings or small children have a short rope here. No toys puzzles games. I had a stuffed animal for my 3yr old. it's only okay if she's not playing with it too much. I haven't quite figured out how to occupy her, so she's not being a distraction, but we are working on it. Seems like a tablet or one or two books is the window. I just don't like screen time. And books only occupy for about 5 or 10 min max”
“Great gym!! My son has been going there for a couple years. I recently joined after they opened their new location with all the extra amenities like cold plunge, sauna and weights. Impact has great staff and are super welcoming to everyone. If you ever wanted to try out BJJ I don’t think there is a better more welcoming gym.”
