Professor Eric, Ernesto, and Luke are world class, and great instructors for people of all ages and skill levels. This gym has become a second family to me after moving here with not knowing anyone. The no-contract, pay by the month system that is implemented is great and easy to navigate in terms of finances as well. Needless to say, I look forward to training here whenever I step on the mat. The relationships are genuine, and the passion that Eric and others have for this sport is second-to-none. “My son had tried a few different activities and sports however nothing seemed to get him motivated/excited. I reached out to JJ Machado DFW to inquire about a trial and try something new for him. From the first class he was hooked! We have been going consistently now for ~7 months and it is so fun to watch my son develop in his skills and confidence. He also competed in his first tournament which offered us a goal to work towards teaching him some valuable lessons. The instructors have a way of developing their students that is fun, engaging and challenging. There are also so many more important lessons through the teachings such as team work, discipline, courage and persistence. “I’ve been training at the Colleyville location for over a year now. Before I officially joined the gym, I would occasionally stop by to check it out. It’s an excellent place to train with a variety of training partners, and the coaches are top-notch. The facilities are also clean and well-maintained. Overall, it’s a great place to train.”

“My husband and all 3 of my boys (12, 9, and 3) train at the school. With the two locations, there are multiple class options. Our youngest does the Little Samurai classes. Eric does a great job using fun exercises to teach actual technique (our 3 year old knows take downs, mount, close guard, and even how to arm bar). The oldest two boys do the level 2 class as well as the level 3, designed for more advanced students who compete. They take private lessons through the school, which has increased their skill level significantly. Both older boys have competed and done very well (multiple medals, but also some much needed humbling experiences that have made them even better students). The school has been such a blessing to our family. We love it.”
