“This is not just a Jiu Jitsu Academy, it’s a family. I had stepped out of training for 8+ years due to life circumstances and injuries, and I wasn’t sure if I’d ever train again. This group, and the amazing Professors, have not only inspired me, but brought a fire back to my life with this wonderful and challenging martial art. If you’re looking for a SOLID group to train with, please check Kioto Southwest out. Probably the least amount of ego I’ve ever encountered at an Academy, and Professor Joe and Liz are top tier professionals. I cannot say enough about Kioto, Professor Joe/Liz, and my incredible team. On top of that, an absolutely AMAZING kids group that’s growing immensely. The kids now describe Jiu Jitsu as “addicting” and they’re more motivated to train than most adults I’ve met in the martial art. Whether you’re new to BJJ, thinking about coming back to the mats, or a seasoned practitioner; come get your roll on and you’ll see exactly what I mean.”
