KMAA offers a variety of martial arts classes. I teach KAJUKENBO and love seeing students grow. The facilities are large enough for a variety of large classes and all of the instructors are highly qualified in the material they teach.

It's a great school (I'm a student), led by instructors with years of experience who care about their students and the quality of instruction. There are several programs available, including Hiraido Jujitsu (a mixed martial arts program), Jujitsu, Karate, Kajukenbo, Kickboxing and more. There are no contracts, just a month-to-month fee for each course you wish to take, with discounts for families or students wishing to enroll in multiple classes. An earlier reviewer wasn't very impressed with the mixed martial arts program (Hiraido Jujitsu). It does have a more "traditional" mindset than what you'd see in most MMA schools today, there's focus on respect for others, self-discipline and humility. The quality of the instruction is excellent. Shihan John McGraugh, the lead instructor at this school, has years of experience in full contact matches incorporating striking, throwing and grappling techniques (Daido Juku Karate - can find lots of clips on YouTube), Judo and Jujitsu. This style incorporates elements from Daido Juku Karate, Jujitsu, Brazilian Jiujitsu, Judo, Freestyle Wrestling and Western Boxing. Several of our students have participated in MMA events. One of them, Danny Hamamoto, was a winner in the World Fighting Federation 4 "Redemption" fight. Perhaps Mr. Dickinson observed a class on a slow night. I'm sure if he participated in a class, worked with our instructors and other students, his opinion would be different.
