Highly recommend Lake Cumberland Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. My son has been going for less than 5 months and the improvement to his BJJ and Wrestling is amazing. Coach Dan is a Cleber Luciano trained black belt. Coach Dan has also trained many d1 wrestlers. If you want your kid to train under the best this is the place for you.

Lake Cumberland Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is the best place you can train in all of Kentucky! Highly skilled and talented coach, and the toughest team to train with by far. Don’t waste time going ANYWHERE else!

I was in the Marines for a long time and am a little biased about what I consider to be “good training.” I visited some other gyms and had not been impressed till i walked into LCBJJ. It has been a hard training gym with strong comraderie and brotherhood that i had missed yet it is still friendly enough that I can take my ten y/o daughter. Finally, I have rediscovered that “warrior spirit” that I lost in my daily 9 to 5 grind.

Where else in Somerset can you have the chance to learn from a 4th degree black belt. I’ve been there for 3 months now and my jiujitsu has rapidly improved. Dan is a good dude no one person is held above anyone and he will help you with your game and not expect everyone to have the same skill set. We have a lot of fun but we know when it’s time to go to work. Update after 6 months being with coach Dan he’s became like a brother to me as have all these guys if anyone suffers from PTSD I highly recommend jiujitsu and with the way we cut up you’ll make friends and won’t even know you’re doing it. Someone who doesn’t know anything about jiujitsu can come in and see that Dan has forgot more stuff than most coaches ever learned

Great set of hardworking guys, and great coaching. New to the sport? Great! Everyone there is willing to help you learn. Even if you have previous experience they will make you a better grappler. A great place to train safely.
